Peles Castle

Peles Castle, located at 2 Peles Street, is Sinaia's most famous attraction, being considered by many one of the most beautiful castles in the entire Europe.


Its construction began in 1873, under the direct order of the Viennese architect Wilhem Doderer and was continued in 1876 by his assistant, Johann Schultz de Lemberg.


Its architecture comsprises wood, stone, bricks and marble, and features more than 160 rooms. The representative style is in German Renaissance, but one can easily discover elements belonging to the Italian Renaissance, Gothic, German Baroque and French Rococo style.


"George Enescu" Memorial House

2 Yehudi Menuhin Street, Cumpatu neighborhood, Sinaia is where "George Enescu" Memorial House can be found.


Luminis Villa, as it was originally called, built in an authentic Romanian architectural style, was donated by the musician, 1946, when he was forced by political circumstances to leave the country.


Today, his former home serves as a cultural museum, being preserved exactly as George Enescu left it: decorated with Bidermayer furniture and beautiful crystal, porcelain, metals and ceramics items, and his piano sitting in the lounge, an Ibach made in Lausanne.


A marble bust, representing George Enescu, made by Romanian sculptor Ion Irimescu, who was fascinated with the personality of the musician, welcomes visitors at the entrance.


Sinaia Monastery

Also known as the "Carpathian Pearl", Sinaia Monastery (2 Manastirii Street) represents the beginning of Sinaia, as the city was built around this gorgeous orthodox monastery, dating since late 17th century, set within wonderful surroundings.


Sinaia Monastery comprises a remarcable epitaph, sowed in gold and silk, registered by UNESCO, as well as other fantastic reigious items.


Bucegi Natural Reserve Museum (Muzeul Rezervatiei Naturale Bucegi)

The museum is set within Dimitrie Ghica Park and features various exhibits of flora and fauna found in the Bucegi area.


Dimitrie Ghica Park

The park was founded in 1881 and features alleys decorated with busts representing famous personalities who lived in, or visited Sinaia, in the past. It is a great spot in Sinaia for spending a relaxing afternoon outside, with the family.


Heroes' Cemetery

On Eroilor (Heroes) Street, visitors will find Heroe's Cemetery, a resting place for the souls of those who fought during WWI (1916 — 1918) and for the 365 American soldiers who fought in WWII.
