About Brasov, Romania

Brasov is the capital of Brasov County and the 8th most populous city in the country, according to the last census, when over 284 500 people, were estimated to be living here.

It is situated in Romania's central area, about 166 km, north of the capital of Bucharest, and it is surrounded by the Southern Carpathians, being part of the Transylvania region.

Brasov is best known for being the birthplace of the national anthem of Romania and for hosting the Golden Stag International Music Festival, but, these are not the only things that make Brasov the vacation destination, every year, for numerous visitors from around the country, as well as from around the world.
